Some delicious asian greens today. They told me what they were, but my brain was fried by 5 pm and I have already forgotten what they are called. What they were is mighty tasty in some Trader Joe's Thai Yellow Curry simmer sauce. (Store coming to Richmond outskirts within the month!)
I also oven roasted the little red tomatoes tonight. They are delicious. I'm not sure what we'll eat them on, but I'm sure that we'll eat them.
Up next on the agenda: pesto, pickled peppers and pepper jelly.

That second produce picture is the prettiest produce picture of all the produce pictures.
How do you roast a tomato?
Thank you. The produce is looking particularly nice right now I think. Also, the new camera rocks. It has much better/truer color recognition.
Roasting tomatoes is super easy. Turn oven to 225. Place tomato halves cut side up on a baking sheet (lined with parchment if you want). Drizzle with a little olive oil. I also put a little salt on them and threw some garlic cloves on the cookie sheet. Leave in the oven for 3 hours, or until the tomatoes loose their plumpness. I dumped everything from the cookie sheet (oil, tomatoes and garlic) and added some fresh basil and placed in a jar in the fridge. Not sure what I'm going to use them for yet, but I sampled one and it's what I always want a sun dried tomato to taste like. Maybe I'll use them on pasta?
